Amanda Jeffres, RN | Executive Director / Public Health Nurse
Amanda Jeffres earned her college education at Midland University in Fremont, graduating in 2007 with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing. She started at Loup Basin Public Health Department in September 2013 as the coordinator for the influenza vaccination program. Throughout her years working as a public health nurse with the department she started the childhood and adult immunization program and served as the coordinator for the on-site wellness screenings offered to area schools and businesses.
In 2010, Amanda took classes to become a Certified Child Passenger Safety technician. She continues to utilize this certification in her public health role to help protect the children who are being transported within our area through inspection events and offering education to individuals who have questions regarding the proper installation of a child passenger safety seat.
Amanda moved into the Assistant Director role for Loup Basin Public Health Department in January 2018, At the November 2020 meeting of the Board of Health voted to name Amanda the Co-Director. Upon the retirement of founding director, Charles Cone, in April 2021, the Board of Health named Amanda the sole Executive Director.

Danielle Thoene | Billing Specialist
Danielle Thoene started at the health department in the fall of 2006 as an intern from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. While working part time she was able to work in multiple areas of the health department including emergency preparedness and health education. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in May 2009, Danielle was offered a full time position.
Danielle has worked in many roles at the health department over the years and is currently in charge of all in-house Commercial, Medicare and Medicaid billing for both medical and dental services. Danielle also assists with the Well @ Work program.

Stephanie Gideon | Accounting / Accreditation Coordinator
Stephanie started at the Health Department in November 2014. She attended Central Community College in Hastings and began working as the administrative assistant at Loup Basin Public Health Department when first hired. In the spring of 2015, she took over the accounting duties for the Health Department.
Stephanie is responsible for accounting duties at LBPHD, monthly and annual reporting, assisting with Well @ Work, Smiles, and immunization programs, and she also is the Accreditation Coordinator.

Terry Stutzman | Administrative Assistant
Terry began working at Loup Basin Public Health Department in July 2015. She graduated from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelor's of Science in Education. In addition to her Administrative Assistant responsibilities, Terry also assists with Community Hub as a Community Health Worker.

Lesa Gideon, RN | Public Health Nurse
Lesa started at Loup Basin Public Health Department in August of 2015. Lesa graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1996 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. As a public health nurse, Lesa’s primary responsibility will be the Well @ Work program.

Ashley Jeffres, LPN | Public Health Nurse
Ashley graduated from Central Community College with her LPN in 2006. In May of 2016, she accepted a position with the Loup Basin Public Health Department as the Emergency Response Coordinator. Ashley fulfilled this role for almost two years and in May, 2018 moved into a role of a health educator, and now is our disease surveillance nurse.
Ashley's duties as the disease surveillance nurse include Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program coordinator and the radon Awareness and Risk Reduction program coordinator.

Catie Larsen | Emergency Response Coordinator
Catie attended Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska and graduated in 2009 with her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science. In April 2018, she accepted the Emergency Response Coordinator position with the Health Department.
Catie will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the area's emergency response plans.

Holly Mann, RN | Public Health Nurse
Holly graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 1997 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. She started at Loup Basin Public Health Department in May of 2006 as the LB Smiles Coordinator. She also assisted with the Influenza Program and other Health Educator roles.
In the summer of 2014, Holly left the health department, but continued as a contract employee to assist with vaccination clinics on an as needed basis. Holly returned to LBPHD in a full-time capacity in March of 2020 as the Immunization Program Manager. Holly also assists with the Well @ Work program and COVID-19 testing.

Val Galvan | Public Health Case Investigator
In August 2020, Val accepted a position with Loup Basin Public Health Department as a Public Health Case Investigator to assist the local health department with COVID-19 response.

Jolene Gydesen | Communications Specialist
In August 2020, Jolene accepted a position with Loup Basin Public Health Department as a Public Health Case Investigator to assist the local health department with COVID-19 response. In June 2021 she took on a new role as the communications specialist.

Shelby Galvan | Health Educator/Accreditation Coordinator
Shelby Galvan started at the Loup Basin Health Department in June 2021. Shelby graduated from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2018 with her Bachelors in Business Administration with and emphasis in Management. Shelby with be our Accreditation Coordinator and will be responsible for Immunizations Grants.

Kalie Cassidy, RN | Public Health Nurse
Kalie Cassidy graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2017 with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. Kalie will be responsible for LBPHD's Opioid Program.

Claire Snyder, RDH | Public Health Dental Hygienist
Claire graduated from Central Community College in Hastings with an Associates of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She started at LBPHD in January 2022. Claire will be involved with the LB Smiles program at the health department.

Sarah Raiford, RN | Public Health Nurse
Sarah graduated from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree in 2018. Sarah started at the Loup Basin Public Health Department in April 2022. Sarah assists with COVID-19 testing along with writing and reviewing policies for the Health Department.

Hallee Mann
Hallee started at the Loup Basin Public Health Department in June of 2022. Hallee currently attends Hastings College where she is a Health Systems major with an emphasis on Pre-PA studies. Hallee will be working as a temporary admin technician.
